I saw this post on Pinterest last spring and I thought, if this really works, why isn’t everyone doing it? I throw many celery ends away, as well as romaine ends, so I got out some pots and decided to give it a try. I followed these instructions, http://chickensintheroad.com/farm-bell-recipes/re-growing-celery/, and you can see by my picture that it really works. I have several lettuce and celery plants in my main vegetable garden and they are doing well, and I continue to plant my celery and lettuce and give it away to family and friends.
A Ponytail Kind of Day
turning trash into treasures
Saturday, July 21, 2012
Welcome
Why “a ponytail kind of day”? Everyday, for me is a ponytail kind of day. I get up, shower, and contemplate my day. I work from home, so my day is mixed with work, playing with my dog, Fiona, and my main obsession, turning junk (to some) into treasures. I love exploring Pinterest, looking at all of the creative ideas people have and testing them myself. With this blog, I will post projects that I am trying and will post the results, both successful and unsuccessful. If you enjoy living a re-purposed life, you will enjoy my blog.
Welcome to a ponytail kind of day :)
